Fenland Green Party were absolutely astounded by the gains we made in terms of number of votes and our vote share across the Fenland County Divisions in the Cambridgeshire County Council elections in 2021.

For the first time, Fenland Green Party stood a candidate in 'Chatteris Division' picking up 6.58% of the vote share as well 'Roman Bank and Peckover Division' (Wisbech) picking up 4.56% of the votes there.

But the biggest gain was 'March North and Waldersey Division' where our two Green Party candidates took 9.43% and 8.12% of the available votes cast which is almost double that of the previous County elections in 2017.

In 'March South and Rural Division' our candidate increased the Green Party vote share by around  50% by taking 6.18% and in Whittlesey South our Candidate maintained a very creditable 5.25% share.

Well done to our team of candidates, who are at the forefront of pulling Fenland into 21st century politics for a cleaner, greener, safer, healthier and fairer future for all. We believe that we are now well placed to have more Green Party candidates elected at the Town/Parish and District elections due in 2023.

We would like to thank everyone who voted Green Party and especially our candidates for standing, as without them, there would be no local Green Party candidates to vote for.
