Fenland Green Party were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our member David Lewis on 31 December 2016.
David was widely loved and respected by all those he came into contact with. He was highly regarded in his teaching profession and was a true inspiration to others. He was a man with a huge heart who was passionate about the causes he believed in and for what he wanted to see put right in the world.
He believed in a society where everyone had food on the table. He believed in a strong NHS in the public's hands. He saw the injustice of a society where there are those with great wealth while others go without food and shelter. He was a supporter of human rights, equal rights, women's rights and the rights of all people and of all minorities.
David was a man with a huge heart and was the gentlest of gentlemen. We are honoured to have known him and to have had him as a member of our Local Green Party.
David's funeral: All family and friends welcome.
Thursday 19th January, 1.30pm
West Chapel, Cambridge Crematorium CB3 0JJ.
